The process of Functional Rehabilitation completes the journey that the Private Hospital Frate Sole implements in order to take care of the orthopaedic patient. The recovery phase is essential to guarantee self-sufficiency and return to social life.

Services

The patients that can have access to the Rehabilitation Department under the hospitalization condition are:

  • The ones coming from the Frate Sole’s Orthopedic Department
  • The ones transferred from other orthopedic facilities and not by eligible transfer
  • The ones from outside the region provided with medical request from their own doctor
  • The ones sent privately by specialists

Neurological rehabilitation

Neurological rehabilitation involves the rehabilitation of a patient who has or has had damage to the central or peripheral nervous system due to neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, multiple or plaque sclerosis, peripheral nerve lesions such as the carpal tunnel and others.
During the treatments different techniques can be used (Bobath concept, Kabat method, Perfetti), with the aim of giving back to the patient the functionality of the injured part and the autonomy in the activities of daily life.

Orthopedic rehabilitation

The Functional Rehabilitation process completes the path that the Private Hospital sets up to implement a comprehensive reimbursement of the orthopedic patient.
The main objective is the recovery of the functionality of the injured limb so that the patient can reintegrate in an optimal manner in his daily activities, work and leisure ones.
Patients are treated in the gyms of the structure, they are are divided into homogeneous groups by pathology and followed by qualified physiotherapists.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment that, although it is based on fundamental sciences and traditional medical knowledge such as anatomy and physiology, does not involve the use of drugs or the use of surgery. Osteopathic therapy is indicated in every age group and for a wide range of disorders of the neuro - musculoskeletal system, whose structural or mechanical alterations can create reflex dysfunctions also in charge of other compartments.

Tecar Therapy

Particularly effective in the treatment of knee, hip and shoulder diseases, Tecar therapy is a painless and non-invasive treatment of deep bio-stimulation of the body's tissues, combining the electrical action produced by the tecar with the manual action. The effects of microcirculation increase, vasodilatation and increase of the endogenous temperature, are combined by the operator in the measure and in the right time depending on the objective to be achieved.

Lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage was born as a therapy for the resolution of edema, but over time it has also been applied in the orthopedic-rehabilitative field thanks to its antiedematous and anti-inflammatory action. It is a massage technique that, by stimulating the motor power of the lymphatic system, allows to drain interstitial fluids and eliminate various catabolites and waste to benefit the tissue circulation.
